Reginald Alan Roach: Sex offender bleeds to death after his genitals were chopped off

The 63-year-old died because of 'shock and haemorrhaging due to incised wounds removing genitalia'

BANGOR, UNITED KINGDOM: A convicted sex offender was discovered dead on Sunday, November 6, in Bangor’s Bryn Cegin industrial estate by a a dog walker, an inquest was told. It has been said that Reginald Alan Roach suffered fatal injuries after his genitals were chopped off and which led to his death.

During the Friday, November 11, inquest opening, Kate Sutherland, acting senior coroner for north west Wales, revealed that the 63-year-old died because of “shock and haemorrhaging due to incised wounds removing genitalia,” after Dr Brian Rodgers executed a post-mortem on the old's man body. Further hearing into the case will reportedly be held on a later date as more probes are still to be done.

Roach was scheduled to appear at Llandudno Magistrates Court on October 31 due to “a charge of failing to comply with notification requirements in relation to the sex offenders register at Caernarfon Police Station on September 13, 2022,” The Mirror reported. He was slapped with the charge after he behaved inappropriately with a worker at a Travelodge Hotel. Later, the man, who lived at the Ty Newydd bail hostel in Llandygai Road, had confessed to his crime and was awarded 16 weeks suspended jail term as well as was asked to give $177 as compensation to the victim.

At the time, Roach also listed himself as a sex offender. Not just the sex crime, the elderly man in 2019 had wrecked a poppy memorial immediately after Remembrance Sunday. He admitted to his offense a year later.

Meanwhile, regarding his horrifying death, a North Wales Police spokesperson told The Mirror, “Following our statement earlier this week regarding the death of a man who was discovered collapsed at Parc Bryn Cegin, Llandegai, the Coroner today opened an inquest. Following a Home Office Post Mortem, and to end unhelpful speculation, we can confirm that we are not looking for anyone else in connection with the death of Reginald Alan Roach, but would renew our appeal for anyone who saw an elderly man, approximately 5’8” tall and wearing blue jeans with a grey hooded top in the area between 10am on Saturday, November 5th and 9am on Sunday, November 6th to please contact us on 101 quoting reference B168289. We will not be making further comment as the matter remains with the Local Coroner.”

I care about the victims.” The second user wrote, “Brilliant news.” “Finally some good news,” a tweet read.

Also when a person said, “I think he chopped his own junk off,” another one added: “Alternatively, they know exactly who did it and just let it slide.”
