LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Ray J has submitted a petition to dismiss the case more than a year after submitting a third petition for divorce from his wife Princess Love. Ray J has again decided to call off his divorce. According to records, the 'One Wish' singer, 42, was permitted a dismissal from the divorce with his wife Princess Love, 38.

More than a year after Ray J filed for divorce a third time, the couple officially announced that they were rekindling their relationship. The musician, who got married to the 'Deadly Getaway' actor in 2016, filed papers to formally dissolve their marriage a second time in October 2021.

'I'll fight over and over... for my family'

The announcement comes nearly two months after Ray J updated his Instagram account about reconciling with his wife while working on new "music projects" and a "new network deal."

Ray J posted on Instagram on January 17, as he showcased the Las Vegas hotel he was staying, "HAD TO GET MY WIFE BACK AND START FRESH. I LOVE MY FAMILY!! Ill FIGHT OVER AND OVER FOR LIFE FOR MY FAMILY AND KIDS!! - Ill PUT IT ALL ON THE LINE FOR MY CHILDREN TO BE HAPPY AND SAFE AND CLOSE TO ME 24/7!!!"

Around the holidays, he also applauded Love for decorating two Christmas trees for their children: a Pokemon-themed tree for their daughter and a Paw Patrol-themed tree for their son. He made a video of the Christmas trees and captioned: "Just wanna tell you @princesslove - you really did a great job decorating these Xmas trees all by yourself - no help at all!!! - so proud of you! Just AMAZING!! Love you!!! The KIDS LOVE THEM!!!!"

Ray J and Love, who got married in 2016 and have a three-year-old boy named Epik Ray and a 4-year-old daughter named Melody Love, have gone through many ups and downs over their six years of marriage. They have also filed for and called off divorce multiple times.

Four months following the birth of the couple's second child, in May 2020, Love formally filed for divorce. Two months later, in July of that same year, Love asked for the divorce to be dismissed. The 'Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood' duo appeared to be back together after Ray J posted a heartfelt tribute on his Love's birthday in August 2020. However, a month later, in mid-September 2020, he filed for divorce, asking for joint custody of his two children at the time. In March 2021, he finally decided to put the divorce on hold, but in October of that year, while being treated for pneumonia in the hospital, he filed for divorce once again.
