'Manipulative idiot has been defeated': Herschel Walker's exes rejoice as he loses to Raphael Warnock
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: The Democratic incumbent, Raphael Warnock, won the Georgia Senate runoff on Tuesday, December 6, boasting yet another win over for the Democrats over Republicans. Herschel Walker was left behind by approximately 40,000 votes. Apart from the Democrats, one particular group was ecstatic with Walker's defeat: the women who had romantic relationships with him. Warnock secured his first full term and delivered the 51st seat to lead his party’s majority.
Walker's campaign was marred by scandals and accusations including fathering multiple secret children, lying about his credentials and pressuring two ex-partners into getting abortions. The women who came forward and broke the silence on the same accusations were happy that the 60-year-old former football running back has lost. Among them is Cheryl Parsa, who was in a five-year relationship with Walker and alleged that he habitually lied, cheated on her and once violently attacked her. She told The Daily Beast, "I am extremely proud of the outcome of this runoff. The great people of Georgia deserve better representation in the Senate than Herschel Walker, and today they have chosen better."

Another woman expressed her relief with the election outcome. She told the outlet, "Finally, this violent liar, cheater, adulterer, abuser and deranged, manipulative idiot has been defeated. As a victim of this disgusting liar, I finally feel relieved, vindicated, and not alone." The woman was in a relationship with Walker from 1996 to 1998. Walker's campaign revolved around absent fathers and he presented himself as a deeply religious man who opposed abortion in all cases.
Another ex-lover who previously claimed that Walker had paid her to get an abortion, reportedly said, "Georgia made their choice today. Herschel will not be their voice. Your votes matter. Your voice matters. When we as a country demand more of our leaders, we will be heard!" The woman showed concrete proof by sharing receipts of a $575 bill from the abortion clinic, a "get well" card from Walker and a bank image of a signed $700 personal check from Walker around the time of the abortion.
Parsa got candid about the scandal and Walker's accusations as she told the outlet, "I am humbled by the strength of the women alongside me—those who came forward and those who have stood by in support—and I am proud of the people of Georgia for voting their conscience and making the right decision for women, for Georgia, and for our country. I hope this encourages women everywhere—to feel heard, to come forward, and to stand in their truth and power."
