Footage of ‘Ramen Racist’ hurling racial slurs at Asian restaurant employee goes viral
DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA: A bald "ramen racist" was caught on camera yelling anti-Asian slurs toward employees at a ramen restaurant in Delray Beach.
Louis Grayson, who owns Ramen Lab Eatery at 25 Northeast 2nd Avenue, said the incident took place when his restaurant was about to close. Three men reportedly walked up to the establishment with a pizza from a neighboring business and unstacked chairs to sit down. When a waitress politely asked them to leave, the men started hurling profanities at her. Grayson subsequently walked out and asked the men to move out of his restaurant.

“He asked where I’m from and I said, ‘I’m from here.’ They said, “No, you’re from China. You’re a chink.’ My family’s from Thailand," the employee recalled, as quoted by The Daily Dot. The men reportedly left when Grayson's staff alerted the authorities.
One of the employees was seen in footage from the incident telling the three men to leave. “I asked you nicely to leave; that’s about it," they said, as her colleagues appeared to be putting away the outdoor dining tables. The men were reportedly chomping down on the pizza when the employee asked them to take the meal elsewhere.
“Take your fucking China flu, and shove it up your ass,” said one of the men, now dubbed 'Ramen Racist'. “Asshole, you fucking Taiwanese ch*nk, mother****er.”\

“Well done, sir; thank you,” the employee responded, while her colleague was on the phone calling the police. “Oh yeah, I’m over here; whattaya gonna do?” the distraught man continued, appearing to challenge the employee into an altercation.
One of the other men eating pizza chimed in, calling the employee a "communist" and a "woke sissy mother****er."
Observers expressed outrage over the incident. Some folks wondered who the "ramen racist" was and sought to identify him.
"Twitter, identify these pricks. Do your thang," one Twitter user wrote.
"Preceding their lives being ruined: 'We were heavily intoxicated. This is not who we are. We have many Asian friends. We are embarrassed by our actions and want to apologize for our behavior,'" another wrote.
"This is so typical. They're trying to eat other restaurant food in this restaurant's space. When called on it, they get all aggressive. They're in the wrong; they did a wrong thing; they behaved in a wrong way. And no amount of posturing will change that fact," a third added.

The men in the video are yet to be identified. According to Grayson, anti-Asian rhetoric has intensified since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic. The 30-year-old shop owner recorded the incident and posted it on social media.
“We have zero tolerance for violence. We are an honest hard-working business," the restaurant wrote on Instagram. "We stand against any type of racism, harassment, and discrimination. We pride ourselves on having a multicultural environment. Unfortunately, this situation was very heartbreaking and will not break our spirits. We will not accept this type of behavior and attack on anyone and especially on our staff. We do not tolerate any kind of hate. However, this was after we politely ask 3 grown men to eat their pizza elsewhere while we try to close and put away our tables."
"If anyone knows or recognizes these men, please be careful and report them. We respect and love everyone; however, this is hard to grasp. We will not stand for it ever, and we hope justice will be served to these individuals," it added.
