MSNBC host Joy Reid was slammed on social media after she compared the Kyle Rittenhouse trial to Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation in what is being seen as an 'attack on White males'.

This is barely the first time the controversial news anchor has been branded a racist. MEAWW previously reported how Reid sparked a backlash after saying 'people on the right' would trade their tax cuts to openly use racial slurs. We also reported how the liberal commentator was branded a racist after she rubbished vlogger Gabby Petito's news coverage as 'missing White woman syndrome.'

Reid, 52, who hosts 'The ReidOut' on MSNBC, shared a TikTok video targeting Rittenhouse on Tuesday, November 16, as the jury was deliberating his fate. The jurors would later adjourn for the day as they prepared to resume deliberations on Wednesday, November 17. “This Kyle Rittenhouse trial… it reminded a lot of people of something… something, can’t remember what. Oh! The Brett Kavanaugh hearings in which Brett Kavanaugh, who had been accused by a high school friend of committing sexual abuse of her, cried his way through the hearings to make him a permanent member, an associate justice of the United States Supreme Court,” Reid alleged.

“And his tears turned out to be more powerful than the tears of Christine Blasey Ford, which were the tears of an alleged victim. But in America, there’s a thing about both white vigilantism and white tears, particularly male White tears. Really, white tears in general because that’s what Karens are, right? They Karen-out and soon as they get caught… they bring waterworks. White men can get away with that too and it has the same effect,” she continued. “Even as the right tries to politicize the idea that masculinity is being robbed from American men by multi-culturalism and wokism, they still want to be able to have their tears,” Reid concluded.

Social media was inundated with criticisms of the MSNBC anchor. "@NBCNews openly embraces racism It’s disgusting. And everyone who works there and stays silent is part of the problem," former Director of National Intelligence Rick Grennell tweeted. "There is no mainstream “journalist” more racist than Joy Reid," conservative pundit Dave Rubin added.

"Joy Reid is the single dumbest human being on television and corporations like NBC and Comcast willingly choose to elevate the public platforms of people who believe disgusting things like this to facilitate the destruction of our country," digital strategist Greg Price chimed in. "6 years from now Joy Reid will be telling everyone her TikTok was hacked by homophobic time travelers and demanding the FBI investigate," journalist Stephen M Miller wrote.

"Joy Reid is one of the biggest racists I’ve ever heard in my lifetime. MLK would have been disgusted by her," one Twitter user wrote. "CNN and especially MSNBC have racialized Rittenhouse trial despite all actors in it are white. Rabid MSNBC host Joy Reid suggested Rittenhouse (a white man) is racist for shooting Joseph Rosenbaum (also white) despite hearing Rosenbaum use the "N-word" 2 times on tape. Got it??" another added.
