President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are in the UK for the G7 Summit in Cornwall. It is the pair’s first overseas trip after coming into power. Along with their busy schedule, the Bidens were invited to Windsor Castle for tea by Queen Elizabeth.

Biden, along with wife Jill, visited Windsor Castle on Sunday, June 13, to meet the monarch. For the special occasion, the president chose to wear a blue suit, which he paired with a white shirt and striped tie. He also wore a pair of black shoes to complete the look. Jill Biden donned a powder blue two-piece and understated nude Valentino heels. She kept her hair loose and make-up minimal. Jill was also spotted wearing an elegant brooch for a subtle hint of bling.

While there is no doubt that the first lady made a statement through her ensemble while meeting the 95-year-old Queen, it was the monarch’s outfit that stole the show. The Queen wore a vibrant summer pink dress with a botanical print. To finish her look, she donned a matching pink hat and chic white gloves. Pictures of the Sunday meeting were shared on Instagram by the royal family. The caption of the official post read, “Today, The Queen received President Biden @potus and First Lady Jill Biden @flotus at Windsor Castle. Her Majesty has received 4 other Presidents of the United States at Windsor Castle in recent years.”

It added: “President Biden is the 13th serving US President to be met by Her Majesty. As Head of State, The Queen regularly speaks to world leaders and key diplomatic figures. The President and Dr Biden are in the UK for the G7 Summit. The Queen and Members of The Royal Family attended the G7 Leaders Reception on Friday. Her Majesty greeted The President and First Lady on the Dias as The First Battalion Grenadier Guards gave a Royal Salute and the US National Anthem played in the Quadrangle.”

Soon the comment section of the post was filled with praise for the Queen, who has recently lost her husband of 73 years Prince Philip. A user wrote, “the Queen looks fab in pink!!!” The second user posted, “The Queen looks so gorgeous.” The third mentioned, “Let's agree that Queen Elizabeth is a great queen.” “The Queen LOOKS ABSOLUTELY RADIANT! 🌸🌺🌸 LONG LIVE THE QUEEN!” one fan added.

Twitter was also buzzing a lot after Bidens’ special meeting with the Queen. A user tweeted, “I have no doubt the queen was pleased to meet with a respectable US President and First Lady.” The second user wrote, “So nice to see class, respect for her Majesty and properly tailored suits return to the Whitehouse!” “(On the left) When you meet a foolishness, deplorable & cowardice compare to (On the right) when you meet decency, respect & civilization,” a person said and another added, “I have no doubt that she was equally honoured, Mr President. We are so happy that our POTUS is no longer an international embarrasment.”
