The further we go into the second season of 'Prodigal Son', the funnier the episodic titles get. As NYPD cop Malcolm Bright continues to cope under the disgraced legacy his serial killer father has left behind, irony whips him into a jarred mess when the same father's help is needed in solving murder crimes. And Martin Whitly, when not serving time for killing 23 people as the infamous surgeon, is seeing all of this as the time of his life.

Ironic and tragic in equal parts, it's a miracle Bright isn't a 'Head Case' already, but as the upcoming episode teases, things are about to fall apart very soon. Read on to find out when it airs.

'Prodigal Son' Season 2: Release date, plot, cast, trailer and all you need to know about FOX murder thriller

TV listings detail that 'Prodigal Son' Season 2 Episode 6 titled 'Head Case' will air in just a short week's time on next Tuesday, February 16, at its usual 9 pm time slot, only on FOX.

The official synopsis teases what the episode entails as 'Malcolm's wonderful life' which unfolds "while the team investigates the murder of an architect who was tasked with renovating a supposedly haunted hotel. Bright is knocked out and falls into an elevator shaft. Trapped and unconscious, he imagines an alternate reality that finds him leading a semi-normal life in which his father, who is not a serial killer, helps him solve the case."

This was pretty inevitable in Bright's case as he was bound to snap and head into the grounds of wishful thinking at one point or another. But with Martin's recent interaction with the family, it's understandable why Bright would have these dreams now. Also, Ainsley's deteriorating stability is a major cause for concern. No wonder he just wants a father he could actually share some of his burden with.

But does he make it out alive? How? Who helps him? These are the questions haunting us right now.

This new addition to Bright's woes comes after the fifth episode titled 'Bad Manners' that's airing tonight at the show's usual time slot on Fox. The official synopsis of the episode reveals: "Malcolm and Ainsley both race to find the killer in the so-called "Debutante Slayings," but Ainsley's persistence has Malcolm worried about what her actual motive might be. While Martin is thrilled to see his daughter's passion in the field, Jessica suggests she and Ainsley take a vacation. Meanwhile, JT meets with his union rep to decide if he should file an official complaint against the cop who discriminated against him."
