Jahshaun Anglin: Soccer player, 20, accused of sex assault on Florida college campus
MIAMI, FLORIDA: A 20-year-old United Soccer League player in Miami, Jahshaun Anglin is charged with sexually assaulting a woman inside a classroom on a Florida college campus, reports cited. A midfielder for Miami FC and a member of Jamaica’s national team, Anglin was arrested Tuesday, September 28 after he allegedly shoved his hands down a woman’s pants and then ejaculated on her, authorities reported.
The woman claimed that the pair was in the classroom at the Modesto A Maidique campus of Florida International University when Anglin allegedly asked her to perform oral sex and she refused. An arrest report claimed that Anglin then put his hands down the woman’s pants and sexually assaulted her. She tried to leave, but the athlete had her pinned to the floor and ejaculated onto her body. Anglin then left the victim when someone in a neighboring room walked in and found her crying on the floor, according to the report.

Anglin has played in 15 games for Miami FC in the USL Championship league this year. He refused to speak with investigators after his arrest. Team officials said in a statement Wednesday, September 29 that they were cooperating with law enforcement in the ongoing investigation. Anglin made his debut for Jamaica’s national soccer team in 2020 against Bermuda and has played three matches for the team ever since. A rep for Jamaica national men’s team noted that they were aware of Anglin’s arrest, but would not be commenting on the matter.
Anglin appeared in court on Sept 29 on one count of sexual battery and pleaded not guilty to the accusations. His bail was set at $10,000, reports say. He was no longer listed as in custody as of Thursday, September 30, according to online records. A judge reprimanded Anglin during his court appearance on the felony charge and said, "In America, no means no."
