Prince Harry has reportedly reached out to his father, brother, and cousins, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, after reaching the UK for the funeral of Prince Philip, his grandfather. Philip passed away last Friday, April 9, at the age of 99.

Following the Duke of Edinburgh’s death, Harry paid a tribute saying, "My grandfather was a man of service, honor and great humor. He was authentically himself, with a seriously sharp wit, and could hold the attention of any room due to his charm — and also because you never knew what he might say next. He will be remembered as the longest-reigning consort to the Monarch, a decorated serviceman, a Prince, and a Duke. But to me, like many of you who have lost a loved one or grandparent over the pain of this past year, he was my grandpa: master of the barbecue, legend of banter, and cheeky right 'til the end."

Prince Philip funeral: Harry in talks with Charles, Beatrice, and Eugenie to plan UK trip as Meghan stays in the US

It was earlier reported that Prince Harry was already in talks with senior royal family members while planning for his return to the UK -- his heavily pregnant wife Meghan Markle will not accompany him on her doctor’s advice. A source close to the Sussexes had said that Meghan “wants to be by his (Prince Harry) side” but she would have to consider her doctor's advice and airline rules about expectant mothers.

Harry, on the other hand, wanted “nothing more than to be there for his family” during this difficult time. The source said, "Harry will absolutely do his utmost to get back to the UK and be with his family. He will want nothing more than to be there for his family, and particularly his grandmother, during this awful time."

As per a new report in The Mirror, a source said that tensions in the royal ramily -- related to the Sussexes giving up their royal duties and their subsequent bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last month -- would be put to one side for the Duke of Edinburgh's funeral.

“Despite everything that has gone on and the wounds are still pretty raw, everyone is hoping any disputes will be parked for another day," the source said. “This is about giving the Duke the send-off he deserves surrounded by his family.”

Princess Beatrice is the elder daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah, Duchess of York. She is ninth in line of succession to the British throne. She is Vice President of Partnerships and Strategy at Afiniti and is in charge of engaging senior business chiefs around the world to support women in leadership. She married Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, a property developer, in 2020.

Eugenie Victoria Helena is the younger daughter of Andrew and Sarah. She is tenth in the line of succession to the British throne. She married Jack Brooksbank, a brand ambassador in 2018. In October 2020, Eugenie became patron of the Scoliosis Association UK.
