'It's so cringe': Internet can't get over Prince Charles calling the Queen 'mummy'
This one word that Prince Charles used during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations to address the Queen has left the Internet divided. The Prince of Wales said, "Your Majesty, Mummy. You have met us, you have talked with us. You laugh and cry with us, and most importantly you have been there with us for these 70 years."
As he continued addressing the crowd and those who were watching from home, the Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall Camilla Parker-Bowles also shared their words via their official Twitter account to congratulate the Queen.

However, the use of the word 'mummy' by a 73-year-old man was not taken quite well by internet users. This sparked some debate online as netizens were unable to get over the use of this affectionate word. A tweet read, "Bit odd a 73 year old man calling his Mother “Mummy” it’s a little bit creepy. #PrinceCharles #Mummy #Creepy I hope Prince William is our next King. Not that I’m a royalist but I can’t see the #Monarchy being abolished in my lifetime. Definitely wouldn’t want Charles as king"
