If you've been waiting eagerly for 'Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie', then the wait has finally ended as the Netflix movie is finally here. A reboot of the original series, the movie takes place in two parts and follows Sailor Moon's triumph over Nehelenia.
As with any of the Sailor Moon franchises, expect drama, transformations and more! The latest Netflix anime movie promises to keep you at the edge of your seat while revisiting some of the old characters we've known to love.

'Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal The Movie' picks up where the series left off, seeing that Chibiusa is now on her quest to return home, although she'd much rather spend time with Usagi and Mamoru. However, when Helios, a pegasus, reaches out to her for help, Chibiusa and Usagi realise that there is evil afoot.
Strange darkness seems to take place all over town and the remaining Sailor Guardians sense something wrong, seeing that during a solar eclipse, they come across the Dead Moon Circus. Although the solar eclipse passes away soon enough, Usagi notices that Mamoru's health has been getting worse. After the initial appearance of the Death Moon Circus, the gang notices that it has appeared yet again, and this time, they attack Chibiusa and Usagi.
Unable to transform at first, the two finally manage, and inadvertently switch bodies in the process, with Chibiusa looking like a teen and Usagi looking like a child. However, the Sailor Guardians all seem to have their focus on helping Mamoru, who discovers he has a shadow in his lungs, causing him to cough blood.
As evil grows around them, Helios appears and explains the situation - Mamoru, who is also Tuxedo Mask and Prince Endymion, is deeply connected to Elysion, a world deep within our own that maintains the balance. Helios himself is a part of this world and helps maintain the peace within.
Nehelenia, who is planning to take over, has imprisoned him and brought ruin upon Elysion, which is directly affecting Mamoru as well. In order to save Mamoru, it is essential to save Elysion.
Meanwhile, the Dead Moon Circus begins targetting the Sailor Guardians and exploiting their weaknesses. When it comes to Ami, they pry on her abandonment issues, reminding her that everyone she loves will always leave her. But Ami is soon brought to her senses by her own guardian voice, which reminds her that she works hard to protect those she loves. With Rei, she mentions that her dream is to be the head of the Hikawa shrine and take over her grandfather's role, to which the nightmare lemurs play to the fact that she portrays a sense of responsibility, but in actuality, she wants nothing more than to be taken care of. It's here that her crows, Phobos and Deimos, bring her back to reality and remind her of her purpose.
With Makoto, the Dead Moon Circus plays on her insecurities of not knowing what she truly wants, however, it's here that her Guardian Sailor reminds her that as long as she wants what is best for her friends, her heart is in the right place.
Seeing that all the Sailor Guardians have been able to successfully transform, Minako, or Sailor Venus, faces off against the Amazon quartet. In a moment of self-realisation, Minako realises that she needs to trust Artemis more often.
Taking a human form, Artemis helps saves her life, allowing Minako to transform to her Sailor Guardian form. Soon after, the inner Senshi, which is made up of Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Venus and the outer Senshi which consists of Sailor Pluto, Sailor Neptune, Sailor Uranus and Sailor Saturn come together; seeing that the guardians realise that it is up to them to protect Usagi from Nehelenia, the evil queen behind all of these events.
However, Zirconia, Nehelenia's right-hand crone captures the Amazon Quartet, Saturn and Chibi Moon and hands them over to Nehelenia. The inner and outer Senshi then combine forces to fight Nehelenia.
After Helios' ultimate sacrifice, Mamoru learns that he has been the keeper of the golden crystal, lending his power to Usagi, who has the silver crystal. The Sailor Guardians too take on their princess forms and help Usagi evolve into Eternal Sailor Moon, defeating Nehelenia. It is then we see Eternal Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask finally turn into Neo-Queen Serenity and King Endymion. Neo-Queen Serenity also helps the Amazoness Quartet revert to its original form, restoring balance to the world.
