Prancer the Chihuahua: Rescue dog dubbed ‘neurotic, man-hating, children-hating’ in adoption post goes viral
Prancer, a two-year-old Chihuahua from Oak Ridge, New Jersey, appears to be the latest internet sensation. Thanks to a unique and rather quirky adoption post by his foster parent, Prancer has become a star overnight on social media. The long and detailed adoption post, which describes Prancer as 'a vessel for a traumatized Victorian child' is widely making rounds on Twitter at present.
"It probably won’t be love at first sight at least on his part, and he need some patience to earn his trust in order to see his sweet side underneath the “tough guy” attitude he invokes when scared," his foster parent wrote about him on Petfinder.

Prancer the Chihuahua
In the post, his foster parents describe Prancer as a "neurotic, man hating, animal hating, children hating" dog. "Every day we live in the grips of the demonic Chihuahua hellscape he has created in our home. If you own a Chihuahua you probably know what I'm talking about. He's literally the Chihuahua meme that describes them as being 50% hate and 50% tremble," they continue.
Branding Prancer as someone who only likes women, the adoption appeal warns, "If you have a husband don't bother applying, unless you hate him. Prancer has lived with a man for 6 months and still has not accepted him."
About Prancer's behavior towards other animals, the post says, "Have other dogs? Cats? Don't apply unless they like being shaken up like a ragdoll by a 13 lb rage machine." Despite the disclaimer, it is also added that Prancer currently cohabits with 7 dogs and 12 cats at the foster home.

Meanwhile, a more former appeal for Prancer on Petfinder describes him as a two-year-old Chihuahua weighing 13 lbs, who was rescued from his previous owner. He was earlier owned by an elderly woman who never socialized him. This resulted in him being extremely nervous who takes time to trust someone.
His foster mother rescued Prancer six months ago in a deplorable condition, when he was severely overweight, terrified and untouchable. But, presently, he has achieved a healthy weight and gained much more confidence than ever before. From the photos shared, no one can ignore his giant expressive eyes and a beautiful spotted red merle coat.

"Nope, it’s not Baby Yoda, but close enough... Prancer is here and ready to break the internet!
Prancer is another in our quirky chihuahua collection and looking for a specific home... this 2 year old bigger chi (13 lbs) was owned by an elderly woman who never socialized him and as a result is a very nervous guy who takes time to trust. When his foster mom rescued him he was terrified, untouchable, and severely overweight, but he’s now a healthy weight and has gained a lot of confidence. Once he loves you, you are his whole world ? and he will be a loyal devoted protector to his chosen person. He fears and hates men and wants to be the only guy in your life, and is looking for a home with preferably just one woman. It probably won’t be love at first sight at least on his part, and he need some patience to earn his trust in order to see his sweet side underneath the “tough guy” attitude he invokes when scared. It’s hard to tell from the photos but he has a gorgeous unique spotted red merle coat... and of course those giant expressive eyes ?, and so much personality.
