Peyton Hillis: Fans send in prayers for 'hero' ex-NFL star who remains in critical condition after drowning incident
0PENSACOLA, FLORIDA: Former NFL running back Payton Hillis remains in critical condition at a Florida intensive care as his kidneys have become a cause for concern for doctors following last week's swimming incident.
Reportedly, Hillis was airlifted to a local hospital with kidney and lung damage on Wednesday after he saved his two children from drowning at a Pensacola beach. The athlete's other issues have improved, while his kidneys remain a concern, according to Memphis' WREG.com. Although, who provided the update seems to be unclear but according to an article on the website, WREG's reporter was told that Hillis is 'battling and definitely needs as many prayers as he can get." "One of the great things about being a body of believers is relationship and community, and it's about being not only here to pray for people, but it's also here, it's also to be here to support them through times like this," Bryant Davis, the coach of the Hillis' football team told Little Rock's CBS affiliate.
