Fox News reporter Peter Doocy has found himself in the spotlight after a heated exchange with President Joe Biden on Monday, January 2022, over a question on inflation. Now, there is a renewed interest in his personal life and relationships.
The journalist, 34, is the son of Fox & Friends co-host Steve Doocy and is currently the White House correspondent for Fox News. Doocy questioned Biden about the latest reports of inflation in the US before the President, 79, appeared to call him a "stupid son of a b***h" in a hot mic moment. The eyebrow-raising episode was captured on camera as reporters were escorted out of the White House Competitiveness Council.

Doocy began his career as a general assignment reporter at Fox News in 2009. He went on to cover a variety of stories including Vice President Dick Cheney's heart transplant surgery in March 2012, the floods that rocked the Midwest in 2011, Hurricane Sandy in New York City, and the 2008 and 2012 presidential elections. Doocy also reported on the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in Newtown, Connecticut in 2012. On January 24, 2022, Doocy called Biden out, "Do you think inflation is a political liability ahead of the midterms" as a White House Competitiveness Council meeting was coming to a close. Biden responded under his breath, "No, it’s a great asset – more inflation. What a stupid son of a b***h."

Who is Peter Doocy's wife?
Like Doocy, his wife Hillary Vaughn is also a reporter, currently working as a Fox Business Network correspondent. The journalist, 30, rose to prominence following the 2020 presidential election cycle when one of her reports was featured on Fox News Rundown's 'American Dream Series' on FOX News Audio. The segment saw her visiting vital voting states and documenting the issues plaguing potential voters at the time.
Vaughn also began her reporting career at Fox News as a member of the second class of Fox News' Junior Reporter Program. The course allowed her to learn on-the-ground reporting skills and she went on to become a journalist for Fox Business Network in 2016. Vaughn has traveled the length and breadth of the country, reporting on significant events such as President George HW Bush's funeral as well as various social and political gatherings. According to her MuckRack page, the reporter has worked for Fox News, Yahoo Finance, FOX 32 in Chicago, Fox 13 in Tampa, Fox 2 in Detroit, and Fox 5 in Washington DC, among other outlets.
Vaughn and Doocy tied the knot in a private ceremony on April 26, 2021, at the Montage Palmetto Bluff resort in South Carolina. Not more than 18 people were invited to the small and intimate ceremony, where Doocy's father served as his best man. Steve Doocy later shared photos of his son's wedding on Fox & Friends. According to a report on Distractify, Vaughn has an estimated net worth of about $1 million. The same report details her husband's net worth at somewhere around $500,000.
