When will 'Peacemaker' Episode 8 air? Here's what to expect when it drops on HBO Max
Safe to say, 'Peacemaker' has been one of the breakout series of the year and the season finale promises to be an absolute humdinger. The eight-episode series is all set to conclude (or renewed for another season we hope) on Thursday, February 17. But more on Season 2 later as the focus shifts towards what will happen in the James Gunn-written finale. Titled 'It's Cow or Never', the promo does promise an explosive chapter, especially after the way Episode 7 ended.
Murn dying was inevitable. He was the last good butterfly who had it in him to stop an imminent alien attack, but with Song shooting him to death and squeezing the butterfly, the team now looks at Emilia Harcourt to lead them and finish the mission. Leota Adebayo gets some ample screentime, but this episode is all Cena as he grapples with an internal conflict. The promo does reveal little, but it does show Chris Smith/Peacemaker (John Cena) finally showcasing his peace shield as the team takes on the butterflies.

What time does 'Peacemaker' Episode 8 air and what to expect from it?
The plot of Episode 8, other than the known fact that there will be a man vs alien showdown, is kept under wraps. Per CBR, Gunn "wouldn't let them (HBO Max) put out eight to avoid potential spoilers. "They wanted to put out all eight. I said, 'No way. No chance in hell are we putting out all eight.' There's just too many things [that] happen in episode eight that I just could not let it get out there. It would absolutely be spoiled. You know, I wouldn't even let them give it to one place or anything like that because it just wasn't... I didn't want it to be out there."
The ARGUS vs Detective Song's (Annie Chang) butterfly army plotting on an invasion perhaps is the cheesiest of storylines, but the portrayal is nothing short of gore and high-octane action. The team's mission is simple: Head to the barn at Coverdale ranch and kill the cow — a gigantic pink blob creature with lots of eyes.
What we do know however is the time of release. Like the previous seven episodes, the finale drops at 12:01 a.m. PT/3:01 a.m. ET. indication to show if any other character dies, but it is possible that the finale will see at least two deaths. It's just the way the show is structured with a redemption arc for these anti-heroes.
