Days after Patricia Cornwall was anointed 'Delta Karen' by social media, more shocking details about the former 'Baywatch' star have come to light. The most recent expose on December 28 indicates that the violence aboard the Delta flight was not her first and that she actually got into an altercation with her mother and stepfather back in 2020. According to court documents, Cornwall's parents filed a restraining order against her in July 2020 as a result.
Violence aboard flights is not a new phenomenon, but it has drastically increased since the Covid-19 pandemic. On December 24, Vyvianna Quinonez pleaded guilty to punching a SWA flight attended during a May 23 flight. In October, an irate passenger punched an American Airlines flight attendant, leading the flight to be diverted from Orange County to Denver. As with Cornwall, both incidents stemmed from the mask mandate aboard airlines.

Many of those caught for violent outbursts are anti-maskers, and often shared conspiracy theories around Covid-19. But in the case of Cornwall, it appears to be a routine burst of anger, based on what her stepdad has to say. Her violent outbursts appear to stem from her mental health issues, all detailed in court documents from 2020.
Who is Patricia Cornwall's mom?
Reportedly, Cornwall is the daughter of Yolanda Spoeri, who is married to Robert Spoeri, a California workers' compensation judge. The couple lives in the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacific Palisades, where Cornwall also currently resides. Yolanda and Robert got married in July 2018, according to a post on Robert's Facebook page. According to a LinkedIn profile, Yolanda is a legal assistant at the Law Offices of Richard T. English in Downey, California. She describes her role as doing "Applicant workers Compensation", for around 27 years. The profile also lists her as an alumnus of the Pacific Coast University of Law.
Judging by her Twitter account, Yolanda is a staunch Democrat. While she isn't very active, in the past she has heckled Adam Kinzinger, Paul Rand, and even Donald Trump himself. On LinkedIn, Yolanda has also advertised Cornwall's realty business. Little else is known about Yolanda or even Robert. We do know that Robert has two teenage kids, who now live with him and Yolanda.
In July 2020, Robert filed a restraining order application against Cornwall in a Los Angeles County court, claiming he feared for his and his wife's life, and that Cornwall would "kidnap" his children during a "delusional episode".
Cornwall attacks parents
"Patricia Cornwall has threatened to kill Yolanda Spoeri and Robert Spoeri. She has physically attacked and beaten Robert & Yolanda Spoeri," the order says. Robert claimed his stepdaughter "kicked me, punched me, threatened to kill me, jumped on me, pulled my hair very hard, pounded my head into the floor, and more because I would not divulge where her mother was hiding." He added, "Her real goal was to do far greater injury to her mother."
It's unclear what prompted the violent outburst, but the judge issued a temporary restraining order against Cornwall after the incident, which led her to spend time at a psychiatric ward. However, it appears that the order has expired, since documents from Cornwall's plane arrest show she will be returning to the LA home of her mom and stepdad. However, it seems that she's currently on the lookout for her own place to live, as The Daily Mail noted from a posting on housing website Roomies. It appears Cornwall is looking for a place in Okaloosa County, Florida, but might find it hard now that she's become quite famous.
