Is Patricia Cornwall racist? Delta Karen made 'Rosa Parks' remark while slapping old man
Patricia Cornwall, a realtor and former NFL cheerleader who got violent with a man on a Delta flight over masks, made a crude remark about 'Rosa Parks' before the altercation. Cornwall was returning from the restroom at the back of the plane when a flight attendant blocked the aisle. When she asked the flight attendant to help her find her seat, she was asked to look for an open seat until beverage service was over.
This triggered Cornwall, and she responded to the flight attendant, saying, "What am I Rosa Parks?". This is when the old man, with whom she later had an altercation, told her she "isn't Black ... this isn't Alabama and this isn't a bus."

On December 23, Patricia Cornwall, who was flying from Tampa to Atlanta on the Delta flight, assaulted the old man for not wearing a mask while eating and drinking. A video of the incident that surfaced led to the woman being dubbed a 'Karen' by social media users. Patricia Cornwall lost her cool when an old man lowered his face mask inside the flight for eating and drinking purposes. Cornwall started a heated argument with the elderly man, repeatedly ordering him to put his mask on, while her own mask was lowered at chin level.
Cornwall subsequently struck the man and even spit on his face. When the flight attendants tried to get involved, she continued to jostle with them and threaten the man. Cornwall was reportedly detained after the flight landed in Atlanta, and handed over to the FBI. She has been booked for the assault but her exact charges remain unclear.
In a similar incident in November, a 32-year-old woman, Arielle Jean Jackson, was arrested after she assaulted a Southwest Airlines flight attendant on Saturday, November 13, Dallas police said. Officials confirmed that Jackson boarded Flight 4976 at around 12:40 pm, with scheduled service from Dallas Love Field to La Guardia. Jackson reportedly boarded the flight and “went straight to the back” where she had a verbal altercation with a flight attendant. The employee then asked her to leave the plane.
According to officials, Jackson then walked up to the front of the plane and had a verbal altercation with the employee, following which she hit her with “a closed fist to the head.” The suspect then "went to the front of the plane where she had another verbal altercation with another [operations agent] " and began "hitting her with a closed fist to the head," police said in a statement. The employee was subsequently arrested for aggravated assault and taken into custody at the Dallas County Jail, while the attendant had to be taken to a local hospital.
