Paris Hilton admits she 'pretended' to vote for Donald Trump in 2016 because he 'was an old family friend'
BEVERLY HILLS, CALIFORNIA: Paris Hilton has admitted she did not cast her ballot for former US President Donald Trump in the 2016 election but pretended to do so because the Hiltons' "old family friend" intimidated her. In her new memoir titled 'Paris: The Memoir', the 42-year-old hotel heiress details an array of things she's "not proud of," which includes lying about her voting choice seven years ago.
Days after Trump's victory in 2016, the reality TV star did an exclusive interview with an Australian TV station, where she asserted that she had voted for the Republican nominee, whom she had known “since she was a little girl.” But she later revealed to Marie Claire that she didn’t actually vote for Trump, according to the Independent. Now, in her newest book release, the mother-of-one further addressed the lie, claiming “truth is even worse.”

'I didn’t vote at all'
“When I was put on the spot in an interview, I pretended I voted for Donald Trump because he was an old family friend and owned the first modeling agency I signed with,” Hilton wrote, adding, “When I left to go to another agency, he was furious and intimidated the s--- out of me on the phone.” She confessed that the truth was "even worse" because she "didn’t vote at all,” according to RadarOnline.
“Am I standing by these choices? Would I make the same choices again, knowing what I know now? Of course not.” she continued “You make it right if you can. You apologize – in private where it counts, in public if it helps. I’m not pretending to be, like, the Dalai Lama in Louboutins here. I’m just saying, grace is available to all of us if we make it available to each other."
Further in the memoir, the ‘Simple Life’ star, who recently welcomed son Phoenix with husband Carter Reum, admitted she has some regrets in life, like wearing Von Dutch trucker hats, going to a "Playboy Mansion Halloween party dressed as Sexy Pocahontas," and even performing "an inappropriate version of Snoop Dogg’s ‘Gin and Juice'" while drunk at age 18.
Grooming claims against teacher
The socialite made another shocking revelation about her traumatic past as she revealed that she was "groomed" by her eighth-grade teacher who "kissed" her and told her that she was sensual. Hilton recalled a "handsome young teacher" in middle school, whom she nicknamed "Mr Abercrombie". She alleged the instructor told her, "I've got a crush on you," before requesting her phone number and cautioning her not to tell anybody.
"Mr Abercrombie called me almost every night, and we talked for hours about how amazingly mature, beautiful and intelligent I was, how sensual, misunderstood and special," she wrote in her memoir. She further claimed "the teacher once pulled me into his arms and kissed me," adding that her parents discovered them in his car after he returned home.
