LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Netflix documentary movie, 'Pamela, A Love Story' helps the viewers to reflect on the trajectory of Pamela Anderson's life and career from being a small-town girl to an international sex symbol, actress, activist, and a doting mother. In this documentary, Pamela Anderson was seen unfiltered, away from all the glitz and glamor, she has set many records straight. Speaking of setting records straight, everyone knows and speculates about the sex tape of Tommy Lee and Anderson which got leaked in the 90s. Anderson took the opportunity of settling this matter once and for all when she stated angrily, "she never made a dime out of it."

Regardless, this documentary also shows that she had to contend with obnoxious abuse (including physical and sexual abuse) throughout her life. Anderson is candid about the string of failed marriages and relationships she endured although she doesn't mention about the one with Jon Peters and says they were all a desperate attempt to recapture the rocket-fuelled excitement of that first, gloriously romantic and outrageous wedding to Lee.

Everyone knows about the Pamela Anderson-Tommy Lee sex tape, the one that arrived in the late ’90s. Anderson speaks about the entire caricature and reveals how a VHS tape of Pamela Anderson and her ex-husband, drummer Tommy Lee, which was recorded during their honeymoon days on a yacht was leaked in the media when their house was under construction. It was the first-ever celebrity sex tape to go viral, and Anderson faced a lot of media and public attacks following the same.

Sex Tape scandal

The actress opened up about the leaked sex tape and revealed how it affected her life and career, in the Netflix documentary movie. Pamela Anderson, who recalled that unfortunate episode in her life, said: "After that, it just felt like that solidified the cartoon image, too. You become a caricature,” she shares in the film. “I think that was the deterioration of whatever image I had… I knew at that point that my career was over." In the documentary, Anderson recalls the former couple's sex tape was leaked by an unknown person, who stole Tommy Lee's gun safe which had the size of a 'refrigerator'. The musician's gun safe had his personal weapons and a few private VHS tapes which were recorded during their honeymoon. "One day, we got something in the mail. It was wrapped in brown paper. Tommy opened it. It was a VHS tape. Tommy told me to go upstairs, and he watched it. I didn’t watch it - I’ve never watched it. Later, he came upstairs and said: This is going to be disturbing. This is a VHS tape of us having sex," the actress said.

How did the courtroom trial for the sex tape make Pamela Anderson feel?

In the Netflix documentary, Anderson tried to "articulate it as best she could" when she revealed how disgusted and pathetic she felt and people made her feel. 'Pamela, A Love Story' reveals how the Lee couple were contacted by Bob Guccione, who offered to buy the rights to sex tape from them in exchange for five million dollars when Anderson asked him to "F**k off". IEG President, Seth Warhavsky mass-produced it.  She then reflected on how they needed to have some "recourse." Ed Masry tried to help the couple out of the situation and the docu movie shows Masry calling Pam and Tommy "victims" of the situation.

Anderson reveals when the deposition started in '97 she was pregnant again and she was definitely "nervous" about how it would affect the unborn child's health. Furthermore, she reveals she "didn't know she would be completely humiliated." When she walked into the courtroom there were some men who were holding up posters of Anderson where she is naked. She recalls how shocking it was for her when the opposition lawyers said, "you're in playboy, you have no right to privacy." She was often asked about her sex life when she thought to herself why was she being questioned about her sexuality and body parts for an intimate VHS video she and her husband made which was for no one to see and they were wronged. She traces back how all this made her feel like a "horrible woman" more so, like "a piece of meat." In the documentary, she reveals how the deposition and the entire situation made her feel like it was like  "rape" which triggered her past trauma when she was sexually abused at the age of 12 and she didn't want anybody else to know, similarly when the tapes were stolen she had a similar feeling. As the deposition was very brutal and it may have affected her second child's health, they signed the paper to get rid of it.

Regardless, Anderson has overcome many obstacles in her life and she leads to living her life queen-size.
