'Overrated': Internet 'bored' as Ghetto Kids' perform to OG song in 'AGT: Fantasy League' semifinals

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The Ghetto Kids from 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League' form a dancing group that celebrates African style. On January 29, prompted by Mel B to "go back to their roots," they performed to an original tune. However, their act left viewers extremely bored.
Team Mel's Ghetto Kids took the stage for their opportunity to make an impression. Concluding Monday's performance, featuring their original music, they captured a group photo with the judges.

The children aspire to inspire others in their native country, Uganda. Howie Mandel described them as "incredibly talented and incredibly joyful," and even praised one of the Ghetto Kids as a "superstar," eliciting an enthusiastic response, "Yeahhhh."
Heidi Klum expressed her love for the vibe they bring, and Simon Cowell believed they faced pressure from other groups but deemed their performance "was everything this show should be."
However, on X, some viewers questioned the group's appeal. One viewer stated, "I don't understand what was so good about this group of kids. I watch their act, and no, ì just don't see it as everyone else does." While another user chimed in, "DEFINITELY A NO NO NO."

On Reddit, fans expressed their opinions, with one saying, "WTF? I'm sorry but these kids are not good! No synchronicity, no flow they just shake their hips (not in unison) and flail about. Yes they make me happy and it's fun but they should NOT have gotten this far." Another person added, " Agreed wildly overrated I mean look at V. Unbeatable they are way better than them and people think they are all that they did not deserve to beat the clairvoyants let alone it be that good for Bruno even wait until they are finished his golden buzzer on BGT."
Under the thread, one person commented, "yes, i am BAFFLED they made it through over The Clairvoyants." "I also had the same thought. I didn’t understand how they pushed through the qualifiers," added another.
