‘Love Is Blind’ Season 10 Finale recap: Two couples say ‘I do’ but Alex and Ashley’s story ends with a twist

The finale of 'Love Is Blind' Season 10 proved that the Ohio experiment was a surprise for the majority of the couples.

Season 10 of 'Love Is Blind' recently concluded on Netflix, and it might be said in all fairness that the reality television show fared better this season as compared to the preceding one. While none of the participating couples tied the knot by the end of Season 9, the 10th instalment of 'Love Is Blind' saw two couples ultimately exchanging vows. In keeping with the popular reality television show's format, five couples entered the finale: Amber and Jordan, Emma and Mike, Ashley and Alex, Devonta and Brittany, and Vic and Christine. Of these five couples, only Vic and Christine and Amber and Jordan walked away married. For the remaining contestants, the finale was replete with second thoughts, cold feet, and a dramatic showdown.

Right off the bat, things were seemingly not good between Mike and Emma. The one bone of contention between them was that Emma wasn't ready to commit to having children, while Mike had already made it clear he looked forward to being a father. Before saying no to Emma at the altar, Mike told her that although he loved her, he needed her to be ready to have children. Mike mentioned, "We’re not ready to get married. I want someone who wants kids." The question of having children had plagued the couple throughout Season 10, with Emma even opening up about her own health issues and struggles to start a family.

On the other hand, Devonta and Brittany ended their relationship as they couldn't reconcile their ideas for a future together. Speaking to those assembled and to the cameras, Brittany remarked that she believed that Devonta would ultimately be her husband and that the two of them were just taking a 'pause.' She further confessed that she had bought the wedding dress before she knew that Devonta would be her husband. This naturally led Devonta to wonder whether she wanted to marry him or was just in it for marriage in general, leading him to say, "The more I’m pressured to do something, the more I push back.” Amber and Jordan's wedding went by relatively smoothly, with Amber declaring that it's a yes from her. She also added that she realized Jordan might need more time, but the latter put her fears to rest when he said, 'I do.'

The couple that truly surprised everyone on the finale was Alex and Ashley. Finally giving expression to Alex's red flags, Ashley dumped him at the altar. While breaking up with him, Ashley made it clear that he wasn't suitable for her when she declared, "Saying no to you today is a win." Lastly. Vic and Christine tied the knot effortlessly, with Vic saying during his vows, "You make it easy to open up. You make it easy to be vulnerable; you know more about me than anyone else on this planet at this moment. You accept me for me, and I accept you for you.” 'Love Is Blind' is exclusively available on Netflix
