Oscars 2024: Date of the 96th Academy Awards announced along with key events leading to it
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 96th Academy Awards in 2024 will be another year where the best talents in the motion picture business will be recognized and rewarded for their masterful performances.
Just like every time, Los Angeles will be in the foreground, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and its longtime broadcasting partner, ABC, have decided on March 10, 2024, for the ceremony. The Oscars are usually held in February, but for the past three years, the month of March has been chosen to etch a few names in the movie history books.

What are the key dates for the Oscars 2024?
The Academy has announced key dates leading up to the big day in March. The Academy’s Governor Awards will take place on Saturday, November 18, 2023, while the submission deadline for general-entry categories will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023. The eligibility period for the general entry categories will end on December 31, 2023.
The 95th Oscars, which took place in March 2023, were all about comebacks. Brendan Fraser, Ke Huy Quan, and Michelle Yeoh swept the acting awards (Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Actress respectively), for 'Everything Everywhere All at Once', a beautiful story about grit and resilience.
The upcoming Oscar awards will have big contenders like Oppenheimer, Barbie, and Dune: Part Two to begin with, but only time will tell whether the big studio movies make an impact on the award season.
