The slang OBCD has recently caused quite a buzz on TikTok, with many Gen-Z TikTokers frequently using the term on various social media platforms.

#OBCD isn't an acronym, unlike well-known hashtags like #GRWM, #FYP, and #POV, which stand for "go ready with me," "for you page," and "point of view," respectively. While the earliest use of the phrase can be found in 2008, its use spread in August 2022, thanks to YouTube personality Nikocado Avocado.

What Does OBCD Mean on TikTok?

To know what OBCD means, all you really have to do is say the acronym out loud. You will get to know it once you say it. When spoken, the letters "OBCD" sound like the word "obesity" and that's exactly how the term is used online. It's a kind of funny way to say "obesity" that combines the word with the acronym "OCD," which stands for "obsessive-compulsive disorder."

On TikTok, OBCD stands for obesity. In contrast to various other famous acronyms like GYAT, OF, and others, Nikocado Avocado, a YouTube personality, made this phrase famous as a joke. The phrase gained fame when Nikocado displayed his pantry, which had a variety of noodle flavors. While discussing this collection, the YouTuber admitted that he suffered from OCD, which caused him to meticulously organize his whole closet.

The person behind the camera, who was making the video then responded, playing with the word "obesity," "you mean OBCD." Others quickly jumped on this as the phrase gradually gained popularity.

The TikTok hashtag is making waves on the app when it's added to videos of chubby animals, cartoon characters, and even expanding makeup collections (people are getting creative with it).

Inside Nikocado Avocado’s food life

Nikocado is insanely popular on YouTube and TikTok with a rather demanding fanbase who are hooked to his mukbang videos. 2.9 million people follow him on TikTok, while 3.52 million people are subscribed to his YouTube channel. The majority of his videos are about tasting new foods. On YouTube, he mostly performs mukbang challenges and other comparable activities.

In most of his videos, he completes these challenges along with someone else, which includes other YouTubers/TikTokers as well as his husband Orlin Home. In 2022, Nikocado announced to the public that he was planning to purchase a $2,300,000 home. He currently resides in Los Angeles and makes most of his videos there while taking in the view from his new house.
