NYPD officer under investigation for asking colleagues to shoot rapper 50 Cent on sight: reports
New York Police Department (NYPD) Commanding Officer Emanuel Gonzalez is reportedly under investigation for asking his fellow officers to shoot rapper 50 Cent on sight. According to New York Daily News, Officer Gonzalez made the demand last June 7 during the roll call at the 72nd Precinct, where it was revealed that 50 was scheduled to attend an NYPD boxing match in the Bronx. Reportedly Gonzalez responded to the piece of information with “Shoot him on sight".
“The inspector just said that at roll call,” a source with knowledge of the case revealed, “I’m like WTF.” The alleged threat came at a time when Gonzalez had an ongoing beef with the rapper. A month before the alleged incident, the Officer had filed an aggravated harassment complaint, in which he claimed the ‘Power’ star threatened him on Instagram.
