What's the worst thing one can do to someone? Throwing human waste or spitting on their face. That is exactly what happened when an NYC sicko smeared human feces on a 43-year-old woman's face. The attack was unprovoked and happened during rush hour inside the Bronx subway station on Feb 21, on the southbound platform of the Wakefield - 241st Street station.

The attacker was identified as Frank Abrokwa, a 37-year-old man, and was arrested on February 27. After his arrest, the attacker reportedly told the police that "s**t happens." But Abrokwa got a taste of his own medicine, when an inmate threw boiling hot water on him, while he was in prison.

The Post reported that the NYC attacker got boiling water thrown in the face by a fellow Rikers Island detainee in the last week of July at the Anna M Kross Correctional Facility. Ironically, the inmate's last name is "Burns". The jailhouse sources have said that Abrowka is likely to "have scars for the rest of his life".

The incident that led to the violent 'boiling water' attack is still unclear. However, the inmate who attacked Abrowka was in custody for felony assault charges and expected to be re-arrested with additional charges.

Abrowka had initially been freed after being taken into custody on the grounds of forcibly touching, menacing, poor conduct, and harassing for his 'feces attack'. However, his activities were deemed harmless and so he was granted bail and was allowed to walk free.

But he was arrested again and sent to prison on March 21 after he allegedly entered an office at a Harlem storage facility, shattered a glass window with a dumbbell and threatened a worker. It was this time round, while he was in prison, that he was attacked by the inmate called 'Burns'. Abrokwa currently has another five pending cases against him.

Abrokwa's feces attack prompted rethink on bail reform

The CCTV footage captured Abrokwa's nauseating attack on February 21. In the clip, he is spotted walking toward his victim, a 43-year-old lady, holding a black plastic bag but showing no signs of causing harm. He suddenly moved towards the lady and smashed the contents of the bag on her face. The victim resisted, but the attacker emptied the vile contents on her head as well before taking off.

The incident was both repulsive and baffling. Mayor Eric Adams marked the incident as a "horrific experience for anyone to go through" at a press conference on February 25. "Human waste or someone spitting in your face, those are real signs of mental health issues … and we really must dig into how we’re dealing with these mental health issues," added the mayor. Later, when Abrokwa was granted bail for his 'feces attack', the mayor commented on the release, saying it was a sign of "failing criminal justice laws."
