If you are looking to go as Jeffrey Dahmer for that Halloween costume party you’ve got an invite to, then you might be running out of luck. eBay has officially removed all Jeffrey Dahmer-related merchandise from its platform, stating that its policies that prohibit the selling of products that glorify rape, violence, and criminal activities do not match the sale of these goods.

Their policy on listing goods on their site, which can be found on the eBay website, strictly prohibits the sale of "items closely associated with or that benefit violent felons, their acts, or crime scenes within the past 100 years."

According to a report by TMZ, eBay continues to look around to ensure the removal of any and other listings that have anything to do with the gruesome serial killer. These listings have especially skyrocketed since the release of the Netflix series based on Dahmer.

Some of the costumes that are up for sale include a shirt similar to the one worn on the show by Evan Peters, his glasses, and a blonde wig. These costumes have inspired a ton of backlash from the public.

It is especially concerning for the victims, who are triggered by the TV show and now find it extremely horrid that people choose to revel in Dahmer and what he stands for. In a report by TMZ, the mother of Tony Hughes, one of the 17 victims killed by Dahmer, had spoken out about the same. Shirley Hughes said that it's already super triggering to see a hit Netflix series about the serial killer, with much fewer folks dressing like the killer.

She also says that it hurts for the media and all the online stores that sell Dahmer costumes to profit off her son's death, while none of the victims' families have received any compensation. She has told publicly that the ads should be taken down, or at least the profits of the sales must be given to the families of the victims who suffered horrific deaths at the hands of Dahmer.

It is very disconcerting that people find it fun to dress as a monstrous serial killer for fun- and most are of the opinion that this wouldn’t have happened if the show hadn’t come out in the first place and victimized those who died all over again.
