MIAMI, FLORIDA: Brooklyn Beckham married Nicola Peltz in 2022 as the entire world watched in joyful excitement. However, the two people hired for their wedding planning being fired at the last minute of the wedding has permanently tainted the celebration.

Nicola's father Nelson Peltz, a billionaire businessman, has filed a lawsuit against the wedding planners Nicole Braghin and her partner Arianna Grijalba, on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, for allegedly refusing to refund the $159,000 deposit he paid them. However, the duo fought back against what they call a "frivolous" lawsuit in an exclusive interview with Daily Mail.

Speaking from their Florida homes, Braghin and Grijalba said they worked nonstop to make sure the $3.5 million wedding in April 2022 went off without a hitch. The women claimed they have never before received a single complaint against them in the 17 years they have spent growing their company Plan Design Events.

The wedding organizers claimed that Nicola wrote them a text the day before they were fired, that read, "You're killing it!" and also claimed to have received a note from Brooklyn Beckham, who was described as "sweet" and "a gentleman", which read, "Thank you guys so much for everything you're doing." The planners said that they should be paid more than $159,000 for the 17-hour days they put in at work.

After firing their initial planner Preston Bailey, Peltz and his wife Claudia contacted Braghin and Grijalba through their company website in March 2022, six weeks before the wedding. Braghin, mother-of-two, said, "We love what we do and we're good at it," adding, "Never once in that time" have they ever felt "bullied or disrespected by any of our clients." "My daughter gives the best job description when she says 'my mommy makes dreams come true'. If it was Mr Peltz's mission to damage our reputations, impact our business and hurt our families, then mission accomplished," she said.

'Two days after we got fired, Nelson called me'

Due to legal constraints, Braghin and Grijalba were unable to comment on the details of the case. However, their attorney David Rosemberg informed them that the case did not present all of the facts. "My clients have impeccable reputations within the event-planning industry and among their high-end clientele worldwide. They operate their business with the utmost integrity and discretion. The lawsuit that was filed by Nelson Peltz is frivolous and unimpressive. Relevant and complete emails and text messages that address the misleading statements contained in the complaint will be revealed in discovery as part of my client's response to the complaint, including in support of the counterclaim they intend to file."

The women claimed that Nelson Peltz called Grijalba after the women were fired. She said, "Two days after we got fired, Nelson called me and he said, 'Arianna, are you crying?' And I said, 'No, why would I be crying?' And he said 'OK, so are you laughing now?' and I said, 'No.' 'Then he stayed quiet and I stayed quiet and he said 'I don't know why I called you', and then he hung up."
