INSKIP, LANCASHIRE: A missing mother’s friends have come together and urged for any leads into her disappearance as the search operation entered its 15th day. Nicola Bulley was reportedly last seen on the morning of January 27 as she walked with her dog Willow near River Wyre. Though the canine and her phone were found later, she was nowhere to be seen.

Recently, her friends and known ones organized a vigil for the 45-year-old mother-of-two, and among them was Emma White, who told The Daily Mail, “We just need Nikki home for her two beautiful little girls [aged six and nine] who need their mummy. It's like torture. The girls, when they get home from school, ask ‘any news on mummy?’ and Paul [Nikki's partner] has to say ‘no’ and he can see the little girls just deflate.”

White also said, “The little girl is saying ‘Is my mummy famous?’ I didn't quite know how to answer that myself… for the wrong reasons. Bring Nikki home, come to the sofa, with the girls, with Willow and you can have that happy story because that's what we're keeping hope for.”

‘No foul play’

Since the beginning of the probe, investigators have insisted that there’s no criminal angle in the story and also suggested that the probability of her falling in the river is high. But Bulley’s family and friends do not believe that as White reportedly explained, “We ultimately have an area out of the river where Nikki may have gone in that we have no footage for. We don't know if Nikki wandered out or if anyone has been seen. This is really crucial and that is what we're pushing for today to raise that profile.”

Besides, a woman participating in the vigil said, “I know Nicola and there are only two possibilities - that she was abducted for fell in the river as the police believe. There is no way that Nicola would have gone off on her own and leave her daughters behind. No one knows at the moment and that is why we are here to make people aware.”

Another woman, named just Mel, added, “We just want to try and make people think back to a fortnight ago and is they have any dashcam footage that might show Nicola. We are all hoping that she is found and can come home.”

‘We're trying to jog anybody's memory'

White also spoke with BBC Radio 4's 'Today' programme, where she mentioned, “It is two weeks today. The local community is coming out to raise that profile, we're trying to jog anybody's memory. Dashcam footage of Garstang Road, which is just outside of the village of St Michael's on Wyre, just by the bridge that you go over.”

“It is quite a key part of the village so people would remember going over it. Did they see anything? We're out with banners, we've got placards of Nikki's face, we've got a moving eight-foot LED board with her face on it with the message ‘Bring Nikki home.’”
