Rams' Van Jefferson had one hell of a day on Sunday, February 13. After playing a part in his team's Super Bowl 2022 victory at 23-20, he was told that his wife went into labor.

After Rams' victory made the national headlines, it was revealed that the 25-year-old player and his wife Samaria were about to welcome their second child.

Reportedly, Samaria was rushed to the hospital in the middle of the Super Bowl game on Sunday. Jefferson was on the field at that point in time and hence was unaware. NFL Films, however, captured the special moment as the Rams' wide receiver realized that his wife was in labor. A staff member from the Rams told Jefferson, "Your wife is giving birth right now." Jefferson exclaimed, "Oh my gosh!" As soon as he heard this happy news, he turned to his daughter who was attending her dad's game at SoFi Stadium, and told her, "Mommy's finna have a baby. We gotta go!"

Two days later, Jefferson took to his Twitter where he welcomed his second child. This tweet was captioned, 'MVP'



 

A user commented saying, "Your wife is a true MVP telling your team not to tell you until after the game and you could catch up. It is obvious the tremendous love you have for each other and this new bustle of joy you both brought into this world."



 

While one user congratulated by saying, "Congratulations to The Jefferson’s. You won the Super Bowl&you bring home a win&the Lombardi. Now you bring home the best of them all from the hospital, your wife&a new baby to the family. What a special moment in time and life! All the best in health&Love from BillsMafia!"

Another user said, "Congratulations man! Awesome story to hear you immediately left after Super Bowl to make it to the hospital to be with your wife for the birth of y’all child! That’s amazing great to see the baby and mom are healthy and doing well!"
