Newsmax has received a lot of flak online after sending an invite to vaccinated people only for its annual Holiday Reception on Wednesday, December 8. A person named Jordan Schachtel, who goes by the username @dossier.substack.com on Twitter, shared the invitation sent to the guests on the online platform.

The invitation stated, “To those of you who have RSVP’d to the Holiday Party, We look forward to seeing you Wednesday, Dec. 8th for the annual Newsmax Holiday Reception! Please note: city regulations indicate that you will need to show a vaccination card, or a photo image of one of your phone, for entrance. A Covid test alone is not sufficient.”

Criticizing the invitation and the decision to cut out non-vaccinated people, Schachtel captioned the photo of the invite as “Newsmax is having its holiday party this year for mRNA compliant guests only. They could have decided on another venue but decided to exclude employees who did not take the shots.”

He went on to add that “Newsmax, like Fox News, has very rigid testing requirements for employees who decided not to be coerced into taking the shots. Both networks have gone well above and beyond the Biden OSHA rule, which is dead in court,” while sharing a link of its article – titled “Two-Faced: Fox News, Newsmax go above and beyond Biden ‘vaccine rules’ with punitive policies for ‘unvaccinated’ employees”.

The article by Schachtel claims that “despite claiming to champion the cause of freedom from experimental medical treatments, conservative media outlets Fox News and Newsmax have created an incredibly punitive and coercive work environment for ‘unvaccinated’ employees, while repeatedly stating otherwise in public forums.”

It also points out the double standard of the two companies that “have sent out high-profile employees to champion the claim that there is no COVID injection mandate”. But in reality, “both corporations are running a relentless coercion campaign to pressure employees into taking COVID shots, while setting up discriminatory structures for those who choose not to show proof of having complied.”

Meanwhile, several people on Twitter have also slammed Newsmax’s party invite by a user writing, “Please explain the science behind this discrimination.” The second one commented, “At a loss for words.. I thought differently of @newsmax .. I truly thought they stood for personal choice and rights.. Beyond disappointed at this!” “Simply says ‘show a vax card or image of one’ ..... there are literally millions of vax card photos on the internet.  Just show one of those. ...Didn't say it had to be your vax card,” the third user mentioned.

A sarcastic tweet read, “So it's not ok to attend a party vaccinated while having covid but proving you don't have covid is insufficient. Follow the science.” Another one stated: “With all due respect, I haven’t been to a restaurant that’s checked a card. No one cares. Show them your drivers license or a credit card or a phone bill. This is all nonsense for clicks and TV.” A person noted, “Why is Newsmax requiring the Vax when even FNC hasn't, and all day they have people on that say vax is your choice Also, the mandates are losing in the courts.”
