'New Amsterdam' Season 3 Episode 10: Who is Dr Lyn Malvo? Here's why she could be Dr Reynolds' love interest
Dr Floyd Reynolds (Jocko Sims) may be fresh out of a broken engagement but we somehow get the feeling he's not going to be nursing a broken heart for too long, thanks to the new entrant on 'New Amsterdam' — Dr Lyn Malvo (Frances Turner).
So who is Dr Lyn Malvo? According to Deadline, Malvo is “the new Chair of the OB department. Malvo will have a 'complicated' friendship with Dr Reynolds (Jocko Sims) this season.” Frances Turner has been a popular face for a while now and is known for her roles as Bell Mallory in 'The Man in the High Castle' and as Paula Turner in 'The Gifted'.

Dr Reynolds is of course quite the free bird and ready to date now. After all, he and Evie (Margot Bingham) have called off their engagement, and while fans had hoped for a rekindling of the romance between Dr Reynolds and Dr Bloom, it seems that for Dr Bloom (Janet Montgomery) her heart as well as her hand may actually already be taken by Leyla (Shiva Kalaiselvan). One thing is clear though, some fresh romance could breathe some much-needed lightness into the show.
After all, fans have been craving some romance on the show for a while now, especially since Dr Max Goodwin (Ryan Eggold) and Dr Helen Sharpe (Freema Agyeman) seem to be keeping each other at bay for the moment. One fan on YouTube said, "I feel like they are pressing pause on the Max - Helen romance which is sad cause it's probably the one thing everyone was excited for this season. I also don't like Sharpe's storyline with Mina, it doesn't add any value to the show. The storyline with Shin was far better."
Fans though are already showing interest in the potential relationship between Dr Reynolds and Dr Malvo. One fan tweeted, "Can you tell us a little bit more about the storyline of Dr. Lyn Malvo? We've heard some rumours that she'll have a pretty interesting relationship with Dr. Reynolds."
