Ted Cruz jokes Elizabeth Warren 'might have a penis' in BIZARRE Nevada speech

Addressing more than 1500 supporters at the seventh annual Basque Fry in Gardnerville, Cruz said, 'We need courage responding to crazy town'

GARDNERVILLE, NEVADA: Senator Ted Cruz took a dig at fellow Senator Elizabeth Warren while joking she ‘might have a penis' because "in today's Democrat Party, how do we know she doesn't?"

Addressing more than 1500 supporters at the seventh annual Basque Fry in Gardnerville, Nevada, on Monday, August 15, Cruz said, "We need courage responding to crazy town."

Elizabeth Warren told reporters that a guy came up to her and said, ''I would have voted for you if only you had a penis." Accusing Elizabeth of cooking a false story, Cruz said, "In today's Democrat [sic] Party, how do we know she doesn't? How could you possibly know?" "My name is Elizabeth, call me Bob, this is my beer."

While the comment by Cruz received squawky laughter from the audience at the seventh annual Basque Fry, it was flagged by activist Lauren Windsor on Twitter. With many harsh comments coming toward the 2016 Republican presidential candidate, there was also a tribute paid by Tiffany Anderson, one attendee of the event who made a Facebook post that said, "What can I say about Ted Cruz? He was very gracious and came into a crowd and let us maul him." She continued, "No other speaker at the event was that accessible. I thought that was cool because his security was all smashed by the crowd."

If you think the comment of Senator Warren was the only nasty joke made by Cruz on Monday, then you are wrong. Later in the same event, Cruz made a joke about transgender swimmer Lia Thomas and referred to him as ‘Dude’ and added, "He looks like Michael Phelps."

Senator Elizabeth has been on Cruz’s aim for a long time now. Earlier this summer, making a guest appearance on the podcast Verdict, Cruz took aim at Warren and said "This is Liberals Gone Wild. This is the crazy left that — this is AOC and Elizabeth Warren, thank God, not in bikinis, Um, but embracing their socialist nuttiness."

In 2019, when Warren was running for the Democratic nomination for president, Cruz suggested expanding gun background checks. Cruz responded by saying, "If Republicans abandon the Second Amendment and demoralize millions of Americans who care deeply about Second Amendment rights, that could go a long way to electing a President Elizabeth Warren."

Cruz has never let go of a chance to throw dirt at Warren. In 2021, while presenting the 2021 Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas, Cruz said "The Chinese communists and Elizabeth Warren both want to control you." He added, "Your assets, your savings, your speech, your life, your children, every decision they want to control, and so we need to break up the means of controlling the citizenry."

However, at the 7th annual Basque Fry, the Republican representers unite against incumbent Democrats at what has become a yearly tradition held in rural Douglas County. This was the first appearance of Ted Cruz at the Basque Fry after addressing the supporters back in 2015. The event, which includes live music, an inflatable rodeo ride, and Basque cuisine, is modeled after Adam Laxalt's grandfather and former Nevada governor Paul Laxalt's cookouts.
