The charm of 'Eurovision' will soon be brought to the United States by NBC's 'American Song Contest' 2022. For decades, America has been under the shadow of the 'Eurovision Song Battle,' an international songwriting competition in which music performers and representatives from European countries compete against one another in a goofy, Olympic-style contest of original songs. The 'American Song Contest', which premieres on March 21, promises to be the largest live music competition America has ever seen.

The 'American Song Contest' will feature live original musical performances from all 50 states, five US territories, and our nation's capital, all competing for the best popular song in the country. From unknown talent to up-and-coming new artists and rising stars to established and famous legends, the 56 artists represent a diverse variety of performances. Each region will be represented by an exceptional solo artist, duet, group, or band who will sing a new original song that celebrates the depth and variety of diverse styles and genres across America. The eight-week live competition, hosted by Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson, is divided into three parts, with artists competing in a series of Qualifying Rounds, Semi-Finals, and the Grand Final when one state or territory will emerge a winner. As music lovers gear up to watch the artists perform live, read on to know a little more about one of the contestants - Hueston, before he hits the stage.

Who is Hueston?

Hueston is an artist, composer, and producer from Rhode Island. His original name is Cory Hueston and was once the frontman of the Blancos, an indie/alternative group. However, he has since moved on to his first solo endeavor. His dark and soulful sonics, which draw from both past and current experiences, emphasize his natural ability as a writer and producer. Only his wild fingerings on the six-string overpower his vocals, which have the sound and spirit of a mysterious Viking. His new sound is mysterious and grungy, representing the hardworking people of his homeland.

He posted the video to Instagram in which he sings the song 'Cover Me Up (Cover song)'.

He also launched his Official music video 'Tidal Wave', the caption "“Tidal Wave” (Official music video) OUT NOW! Link in bio! Feedback in the comments! Directed by @nickterrana"

Do watch Hueston from Rhode Island in the 'American Song Contest'  premiere on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 8/7c. You can watch the show on NBC.
