History of National Beer Day

Since drafting a constitutional amendment to legalize all types of liquor would take some time, President Roosevelt and Congress sought a way to legalize only beer and wine. On March 22, 1933, President Roosevelt approved the Cullen-Harrison Act. However, the law did not go into effect until April 7, 1933. A user on Twitter wrote, "It's April 7th & National Beer Day!
