At first, we see Amado (played by Jose Maria Yazpik) as the newly appointed number two in the Mexican cartel. Unfortunately, he crashes a plane loaded with cocaine in a Mexican desert. While most of the drugs and gang members survive the landing, it's not long before they are approached by the military to be further questioned. Amado is eventually caught and arrested by the military officials when his pickup truck tumbles down. He offers the soldiers a huge sum of money in cash, which they reject and Amado ends up behind prison bars for three months. After serving his time, he finds out that Anna, his child with his ex-wife, died due to an asthma attack.

The thing about Amado we know is that he puts his heart and soul into something he really wants. He starts realizing his mistakes and thinks that he deserves penance for having missed the last few minutes with his daughter.

The future episodes will also see further investigation on the history of one of the world’s largest drug parties, led by El Chapo.
