'Nancy Drew' Episode 4 has a message from beyond the grave and we wonder if it is Dead Lucy, Tiffany or Nancy's mother?
Spoilers ahead for episode 3 'The Curse of the Dark Storm' of 'Nancy Drew'
Last week's episode 'The Curse of the Dark Storm' ended with Nancy (Kennedy McMann) inviting Bess (Maddison Jaizani) to crash with her after Bess' trailer gets heavily damaged by the storm.
Bess readily takes up the offer and begins packing, but drops the ring she probably flicked from Tiffany Hudson's (Sinead Curry) dead body the night she died outside The Claw.
This makes Nancy wonder who Bess really is — did she just invite a murderer to sleepover at her house?
Probably not. For all the mystery, Bess doesn't come off as a murderer. We had earlier theorized that she might have just flicked the ring off Tiffany — which won't be the first time that she has stolen something.
What Nancy must find out this episode is why this seemingly rich city girl is living in a trailer and working at a tiny diner in a blue-collar town like Horseshoe Bay.
In the promo released for episode four titled 'The Haunted Ring', it looks like the cast is dressed for a funeral, likely Tiffany Hudson's.
According to the official synopsis, "as the funeral for Tiffany Hudson nears, her confused spirit seemingly haunts Horseshoe Bay; Nancy invites Bess to stay with her, allowing Nancy to figure out what Bess is hiding; Nick (Tunji Kasim) struggles with what he learned about Tiffany."
The promo also shows Bess at the receiving end of some eerie, ghostly encounters. After Nancy and George (Leah Lewis), who had a particularly supernatural encounter with a certain Rita (a guest appearance by Zibby Allen), it looks like it is going to be Bess' chance.
The title of the episode could possibly refer to the very ring that Bess stole from Tiffany? Well, it is high time we know what her deal is.
At the funeral, it also looks like there is a message from beyond the grave — from Dead Lucy, according to the promo.
Meanwhile, tensions between Nancy and her father Carson Drew (Scott Wolf) are rising — definitely, because Nancy continues to investigate Tiffany's murder while Carson defends her husband Ryan Hudson.
