Amateur bakers, recreating classic confectionery, and a whole lot of comedy, is all that ‘Nailed It’ is about. After three seasons and two special holiday editions in America, the show now takes off to Europe, where they will follow German competitors taking the show ahead. The franchise had also established itself in France and Mexico, and now it’s Germany's turn to show its potential.

Release Date

The German edition of ‘Nailed It’ will premiere on Netflix on Friday, January 17, 2020.

Plot

What happens when home cooks and amateur bakers try to recreate and improvise on popular confections and baked recipes? Well, they fail invariably, to a great extent but make it all fun and comical. The show was inspired by the rising craze of home bakers trying to emulate elaborate recipes they would find online.

‘Nailed It’ follows such regular people who have proven poor baking skills and yet they attempt to recreate edible masterpieces. The ones who get closest to getting it right, will walk away with a winning amount of 5000 Euros.

The format includes two rounds of challenges- Bakers Choice and Nail It or Fail It.

In the first round, the contestants get to choose a popular confection and try to recreate it. The winner of this round gets to wear a ‘golden hat’ and wins a special prize. In the second round, they get two hours to make a complicated cake. The worst performer is allowed to distract the other contenders.
At the end of two rounds, the judges decide on the winning cake based upon technique, taste, and presentation.

‘Nailed It! Germany’ will be presided by Angelina Kirsch and Bernd Siefert.
