Marshana Ritchie has tried to hide her foot for as long as she can remember but she feels it is time to get them right. Ever since she was a kid, Marshana had a toe that did not grow in size and was the same size as her small toe. It slowly started affecting her self-confidence, which was brought down because of the disfiguration.

Marshana recalled that finding shoes that would be the right fit for her feet because of how there is a space for other toes to move since one of her toes is of small length. She further added that she loves to wear heels but none of them fit correctly and in case she finds a shoe that would be fit for her three long toes, her other two toes would suffer.

Opening up to the camera, Marshana recalled that while growing up she would make sure that she does not remove her socks ever. She would not go to pool parties or attend celebrations where she would have to go barefoot. She further added that whenever she went on dates she would carry a pair of socks with her just to make sure that she does not feel embarrassed.

She finally decided to meet Dr. Ebonie Vincent with the hopes that she would be able to help her with the toe. However, when Dr. Vincent looked at Marshana's toe she realized that there was more going on than she had imagined.

She noticed that Marshana had a small toe, a hammertoe, and a condition called brachymetatarsia, in which one of the toes is above the other. Dr. vincent revealed that all these three contributed to her pain and the only way this could be solved is by undergoing surgery.

She gave Marshana two options, first was external fixator that had to be controlled manually to make sure that the bone was growing and the other one was a bone graft. Since the first one was more painful than the other, Marshana decided to opt for the second option.

Dr. Vincent decided to treat the hammertoe first before treating shrimpy. Dr. Vincent tries to put the bone graft but at first, she finds it hard to place it in the correct position. Luckily, she was able to get it right after a few attempts.

Dr. Vincent was happy as shrimpy had grown two sizes after the surgery but she knew Marshana would have to wait for two weeks until her foot healed. After spending a few weeks healing, Marshana was happy with the results and all set to walk down the aisle.

'My Feet Are Killing Me' airs on Thursdays at 10 pm ET on TLC.
