'The Challenge: Double Agents': Why is Episode 4 not airing this week? Here's what to expect when it returns
'The Challenge' left its fans with quite the cliffhanger when Episode 3 (December 23, Wednesday) ended. Nicole Zanatta had to bow out of the competition after suffering a shoulder injury during the Road Kill stunt, which also took out Olivia 'Liv' Jawando. Although doctors have not cleared her medically for upcoming stunts, she was allowed to get back to the bunker while they prepared her for a few more tests to determine if she had fractured any part of her limb.
Meanwhile, Wes Bergmann lost at the crater to Devin Walker-Molaghan in true David-Goliath style. It was a task of game and endurance and the latter beat the vet fair and square. Later, when host TJ Lavin asked Devin who he would like as his partner, he promptly said he would like to partner up with Tori Deal. Devin and Tori have a history. They were enemies on 'Second Chances' — a dating reality show. It will be interesting to see how their equation plays out.
"I've only broke a couple of times but when you break, it felt like the amount of effort that it would have taken to get into the mental headspace required to beat that man was impossible for me to do. I had no incentive to keep fighting," Wes told EW shortly after he was eliminated.
In other news, 'The Challenge: Double Agents' Episode 4 will air on January 6. When it returns, the agents will have to first tackle Nicole and Wes's exit while simultaneously dealing with Devin and Tori's animosity. Will it affect the team dynamics that have begun to grow among the agents or will the contestants be able to deal with the eliminations and sudden exits? Hopefully, they are able to keep their head in the game and perform challenges like there's no tomorrow.
Currently, MTV is airing 'Step Brothers' (the 2008 movie starring Will Ferrell and John C Reilly) and reruns of 'Ridiculousness', an internet video clip show that airs funny stuff curated from social media and beyond.
