'Moon Knight' Episode 5: Emotional chapter garners mixed response from fans, 'This was rough'

For all the Jake Lockley tease in Episode 5, 'Moon Knight' threw a mighty twist by exploring the past of Marc Spector (Oscar Isaac) and Steven, a personality created to combat his mother's abusive nature and keep him off the dark upbringing. Still with us? 'Asylum' looks at the past of both the key characters and while the episode moved at a rather frantic pace, it did take away the focus from the finale and has a lot to pack in.

Fans expressed mixed feelings about the episode. "#MoonKnight Ep 5 : Oscar Isaac rules again but the story (in this particular ep) is something I have already witnessed before in other shows or movies from an execution standpoint. Yes, The Hippo does standout - she was well realised onscreen," one fan said. This was seconded by another who wrote, "Moon knight ep 5 tbh was really really great as an episode but as an episode BEFORE the finale? yeahhh i dont think they did the best set up bcs how did it end just like THAT? not even a post-credit or smth like it just straight up edged me."
