Twelve-year-old Molly Steinsapir tragically succumbed to her injuries after she met with a terrible bike accident on January 31. "#TEAMMOLLY, please tell us where in the world you are located. We want to see how many people across the globe were touched by our extraordinary girl. We are going to mark them on a map to hang in our house, so that you all are always with us. You’ve brought us such strength," Kaye tweeted, sparking the trend '#teammolly'.

Molly was the daughter of Santa Monica-based attorney Jonathan Steinsapir and Kaye Ellen. As per an earlier tweet from Kaye, her daughter was in an accident that caused severe brain trauma. Reports said the young girl had remained unconscious when she was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Following the news of Molly’s accident, a GoFundMe campaign was started to help Jonathan and Kaye as they tried to manage their funds to take care of their daughter’s recovery. At the time of her passing, more than $17,000 had been raised from over 306 donors.
Kaye took to Twitter to share the news of her daughter's passing. “Molly has been called home to G-d. While our hearts are broken in a way that feels like they can never be mended, we take comfort knowing that Molly’s twelve years were filled with love and joy. We are immensely blessed to be her parents.” Kaye wrote, adding in a follow-up tweet that her daughter is watching all over her family. In Molly’s memory, Kaye asked well-wishers to donate to children’s charity.
We know that she is watching over us and smiling at her two beloved little brothers, Nate and Eli, and her cat Leroy and her dog Calvin. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a children’s charity if you are able and please do something good for someone who needs it.

Molly's father Jonathan is known for representing the Estate of Michael Jackson in a jury trial defending claims by American record producer Quincy Jones that the Estate had underpaid royalties to Jones after the King of Pop's tragic death in 2009. Molly's mother Kaye is also a lawyer. She works at Bryan Cave, LLP, according to her LinkedIn profile. She is also a writer and a breast cancer survivor.
While praying for her daughter's recovery, Kaye tweeted a picture of a copy of George Orwell''s 'Animal Farm', saying that "Molly has been a vegetarian and passionate animal lover since she was a toddler." Describing the things Molly loved, Kaye also posted a picture of her daughter dressed as Jasmine from Disney's 'Aladdin', saying "Musical theatre, swimming in the ocean, playing with her dog and cat, sleepovers with her best friend, so many things. She’s truly a wonderful girl."
Update 2/2 3 pm - I’m at the hospital. I’ve been reading this aloud to Molly. Books always bring us comfort. I read the Harry Potter series aloud to the kids during my cancer treatment. Molly has been a vegetarian and passionate animal lover since she was a toddler. pic.twitter.com/dfFStrMWew
