Oscar Hernandez: LA hiker missing for 2 weeks found dead with STARVING pet dog still by his side
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: A hiker who had been missing for two weeks was discovered dead in Griffith Park, LA, with his dog by his side. On Wednesday, March 16, 2022, Oscar Alejandro Hernandez, 29, was reported missing. After two weeks, his corpse was discovered in a distant corner of the huge urban park on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at night. King, his dog, was still alive but very malnourished.
As per the report given by NBC Los Angeles, Hernandez's family issued a missing person flier saying the hiker was last seen near the park's merry-go-round. According to accounts, Hernandez's dog King was discovered at the man's side when first responders arrived on the scene. When he was rescued, the golden retriever was described as exhausted and famished. According to Hernandez's relative, King stayed by his late owner's side the entire time. In a video shared on Twitter, the tired and hungry dog could be seen behind a vehicle.

The cause of Hernandez's death has not been revealed, and the manner in which the corpse was discovered is also currently unknown. A firefighter informed NBC that Hernandez's corpse was found a long way from where he was last seen. The Los Angeles Fire Department was joined by police, park rangers, and Hernandez's relatives at the hiker's location at night on Thursday, March 31, 2022.

Hernandez's corpse was removed off the steep slope where he was discovered by a helicopter from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Search and Rescue team. Hernandez's death is still being investigated, according to KABC. The police have asked the local people to come forth with any piece of information regarding Hernandez which can help them to figure out the case.
