Shocking footage shows missing girl, 6, wandering streets and knocking on doors saying 'I'm lost'
TORQUAY, ENGLAND: Police in Torquay are actively looking for a young girl who has been reported missing by locals as she has been wandering the streets alone and claiming to be lost. Cops were summoned to the Hele area at about 11.00 am after the six-year-old knocked on a door of a house. She then claimed to be lost before fleeing, according to police.
Not only Devon & Cornwall Police but also locals and people on social media have stepped forward to help with the urgent search for the little girl. Officers are pleading with anyone with knowledge to contact them in order to find the girl or learn more about her whereabouts.

Where is the missing young girl?
Police have shared a CCTV image of the child in their desperate attempt to identify her. She is characterized as white, with long blonde hair pulled back in pigtails. She had a slim frame and was dressed in a black coat.

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: 'Our primary objective is to identify and find this little girl so that we can check her safety and welfare. They added, "Officers have been carrying out house-to-house inquiries in efforts to identify her and searches are ongoing to find her." They added, "The girl didn't present as being in distress or upset and was last seen running in the direction of Farm Foods at around 11am. We have released a CCTV picture of her in hopes that someone might recognise her and let us know who she is."
Reports say several police vehicles were spotted on Wednesday morning in Hele. DevonLive reported that police additionally confirmed that the National Police Air Service was involved in the search for a girl. Earlier today, a helicopter was seen orbiting the Dawlish coast and Exmouth.

Locals and social media users have been eagerly participating in the urgent search for the little girl's safe return home. Her picture has gone viral on the internet, with many people pleading with others to help them recognize the six-year-old. "Anyone seen this little person in the Torquay, Devon area? wrote a user on Facebook. A user commented, "Any news ..think half of torquay would help do a search X" One person wrote, "Any updates please, currently out looking around the Barton School Area of Barton still nothing as of yet unfortunately, I do hope she's found safe! " A user said, "Praying she chaps the right door." Mentioning a car in the photo, one person wrote, "The car looks like a Land Rover Freelander, so regardless of her age, it’s a good indicator of how tall she is. Bless her, hope she’s found soon."
