Motorcyclist finds lost little girl wandering the streets, reunites her with 'scared' father
TASMANIA, AUSTRALIA: It’s not everyday that you see a little baby wandering the streets all on her own and a shaken Tasmanian motorist had experienced the same as he drove around the area. Chris Burdon, a whiskey distiller from Forcett, had captured the little girl that had wandered off the to the road all alone on his dashcam earlier this week. When he spotted the girl, he pulled over and approached the child, and tried to find out who she was and if her parents were close by.
“Where’s your mumma darling? Do you know where your mummy is?” he asked, according to Daily Mail. Burdon further asked, “Does she live around here? Do you want me to help you find your mom?” The questions seem to have unnerved the little girl, who tried to walk past Burdon- but he was not ready to let the child run off on her own and got her to sit beside him on the footpath so he could reunite her with her parents. Soon after, Burdon decided to call the police to inform them about the child, to see if there were any parents looking for her. However, while he was in the middle of the call, her father, worried sick, had come out looking for his daughter.

'A very shocked father came out'
“When I was on the phone to the police, a very scared, a very worried, a very shocked father came out of one of the houses we walked past while trying to track down one of the child’s parents,” Burdon said about the incident. However, when many took to criticizing the father for not being careful and keeping his daughter safe, Burdon urged the public to be kinder to the father who undoubtedly already “kicking himself enough.”
'His story was genuine to me,'
Burdon details how the child had found herself all alone in the middle of the street as he recalled, “Mom had left for work, the door hadn’t shut down properly, bubs went out the door after mom.” He then added, “It hadn’t really sunk in to dad but his story was genuine to me, the police were happy with his story so if they’re happy with it, just be ok with it!” He also asked the public to be very careful with their children and to make every moment count. “Hug your kids guys. Look after yourselves.”
