Miley Cyrus shows off singing skills months after vocal cord surgery, says it was a 'gift'

After undergoing a recent surgery on her vocal cords, American pop star Miley Cyrus' recovery seems to be going rather well.

Cyrus shared a clip on Instagram showing her vocal cord exercises. Cyrus was initially hospitalized in October for tonsillitis but was surprised to hear later in November that she had another issue with her vocal cords. According to People, the 'Wrecking Ball' singer was unaware of the health issue for years. After the discovery, Cyrus was told that she would require surgery before the end of the year and that in order to recover properly, she would have to undergo several weeks of silence.

The singer shared a comment on Instagram on February 2 with the vocal exercise video where she is singing while squatting with a smile, saying, "No No No No No more wall squat vocal rehabilitation exercises! (cool trick get another muscle to fire so your throat is distracted, it takes the pressure off your chords and doing this against a wall also helps keep the chin and neck parallel/back so you have less strain and pull!) (sic)."

It's not an easy task to pull off for sure but it looks like all that hard work is making her vocal ability even stronger than it was before surgery, according to Billboard.

Cyrus explains further, "Everything is soooo divine these days (and ALWAYS. sometimes just harder to stay aware of the magic)... I’m finding my vocal surgery at the end of last year to be a gift, made me take time to really hone my craft! Watch out! (sic)."

Fans of Cyrus gave their support in the comments, with one saying, "We're SOOOOOOOOOO ready whenever you are!!!!!! (sic)," and another added, "omg youre alive (sic)".
