Mike Lindell says Trump will be president by August, Internet says 'we'll put Al Gore in office first'
MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell has once again pushed claims of voter fraud as he spoke on Steve Bannon's podcast to say that former President Donald Trump will be back in the office by August this year thanks to his voter fraud lawsuit. Earlier this year, Lindell was sued by Dominion Voting Systems seeking damages in excess of $1.3 billion. Dominion Voting Systems claimed that Lindell knowingly participated in spreading information that its voting systems stole the election in favor of President Joe Biden.
Lindell launched into a long rant filled with conspiracy theories on voter fraud and communism on former Trump advisor Steve Bannon's 'War Room: Pandemic' podcast. Lindell continued the claim about voter fraud. He said he has collected evidence that will go before the Supreme Court, in spite of federal and state courts previously dismissing election lawsuits filed by Trump and his supporters.

"What I'm talking about Steve is what I have been doing since January 9th. All of the evidence I have, everything that is going to go before the Supreme Court and the election of 2020 is going bye-bye," Lindell stated. "It was an attack by another country — communism coming in. I don't know what they're going to do with it after they pull it down but it's going down."

As Bannon tried to cut in, Lindell waved his finger at the camera, saying, "Donald Trump will be back in office in August." Lindell also told Bannon that he did not understand why Dominion Voting Systems would not let people "look inside" their voting machines. He added that he would allow people to look inside his company's pillows if it was being claimed that they were stuffed with rocks. "A five-year-old can figure out they’re hiding something,” he added, despite the lawsuit he is facing.
Lindell also made other claims during his eight-minute-long rant, saying that he was hiring "the best private investigators in the world." These investigators, he said, would "go back in time" and find out who "ordered hit jobs" on him. He also said that he would be releasing a new documentary, 'Absolute Interference' which would have the evidence and proof his first film lacked.
Many took to social media to call out Lindell's remarks, some in humor and some cautioning that such remarks could have an adverse effect. One user tweeted, "Mike Lindell losing his shit, by saying the Former Guy will be back in office by August, is a portrait of what happens to someone's fragile mind when you get sued for $1.3 billion dollars and know you have no chance of winning that lawsuit." Another wrote, "The chances of Mike Lindell being heard by SCOTUS is about the same as my chances of spontaneously becoming the Queen of England. But there are people out there who are legitimately dumb enough to believe him. Then, in September, they’ll move the goalposts again."

Representative Ted Lieu (D-Calif) tweeted, "The problem is not that Mike Lindell says crazy, stupid stuff. The problem is that there are violent pro Trump supporters who believe this, egged on by @GOP leaders who lie about the election being stolen. That’s why National Guard troops in body armor are still at our Capitol." A user tweeted, "I declare that, as a result of his unending false claims of voter fraud, Mike Lindell will be broke before the next Presidential election." Another user joked, "While Mike Lindell conspires to overturn the 2020 election and put Trump in office, he doesn’t know that I have an even bigger plan to overturn the 2000 election and put Al Gore in office first."
