Michigan doctor Devon Hoover’s mom who was in hospice care rumored to be dead days after his murder

DETROIT, MICHIGAN: The mother of a murdered surgeon, Devon Hoover, is rumored to be dead just five days after his murder, according to a social media post. The Michigan neurosurgeon, 53, was found dead at his home on West Boston Boulevard in Detroit’s Boston-Edison District on April 23. He was shot dead in what police believe was a domestic incident.
Police said Hoover, who lived alone and was reportedly single, was found wrapped in a plastic sheet in his attic, according to Fox 2. He was discovered during a wellness check. Hoover was reportedly killed by a single gunshot wound to the head. No arrests have been made in the case yet.

'Dr Hoover did say his last goodbye to her'
"Not sure if it’s true but I just read that his mother passed away today! God Bless the family….My heart goes out to them!" a social media user wrote on Facebook, 'Justice for Dr. Devon Hoover.' While there are no official reports about his mom's rumored death, and no confirmation from his family either, friends and acquaintances have confirmed her death in the post's comment section.
"Yes it is his mom. She was in hospice. Dr Hoover did say his last goodbye to her , and now they are together. So horrible for his family," Pamela Caramagno, a co-worker who worked with Hoover for the last 4 years, confirmed. "God works in mysterious ways.... Devon loved his mother so...through all this sadness there has to be some comfort... knowing Devon is with his mother makes the pain a little more bearable. They are both with the Lord above," wrote Anthony Fonti, an acquaintance who met Hoover when he lived in Grosse Pointe Park and whose antique shop the doctor would often visit. In a previous post, Fonti said he was "lucky enough to do most of the interior lighting" for Hoover. "Yes, this is correct. She had cancer and was not doing well for quite sometime," another user, Sarah Zimmerman, who appears to have been an acquaintance, confirmed. "True," confirmed Carol Rodgers Gove, who had referred to Hoover as her "best friend" in a separate post after his death.

Other heartbroken social media users commented, with one saying, "I am totally saddened over all this. May this family be held together by our dear Lord". "Praying she wasn't told that he was murdered before she passed," one user wrote, to which another replied, "I heard she wasn’t told. From someone in the family." "Omg no! This poor family! They are together," wrote one user.
