HOUSTON, TEXAS: The devastated family of a 9-month-old toddler, who was allegedly beaten to death, has said the baby was a born fighter who tried to stay alive in this world. Khyro's grandmother Kenya Buggs added that the child was born prematurely. She claimed that Khyro had only been out of the hospital for three months when she got the call which turned her world completely upside down.
"He had severe lung disease and he stayed in the NICU for six months," said Kenya, according to 11alive. "What do you mean Khyro in the hospital? I babysat Khyro that Wednesday. Khyro was fine. Thursday I saw Khyro. He was fine," Buggs said she told the person who delivered the heartbreaking news.

Khyro's father rushed him to hospital
Khryo's father, Michael Fisher, rushed him to the hospital on March 17, as he was unresponsive, investigators said. Three days later on March 20, Khyro was pronounced dead. Court documents said he died from traumatic head injuries.
Fisher had prior criminal records
Fisher was arrested on an unrelated warrant before being charged in connection to his son's death. He was on probation out of Louisiana for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Fisher has a list of other cases out of Louisiana, court records show. He was recently charged in 2020 with kidnapping and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Buggs said her family is hoping for justice for the innocent child. “Michael Fisher is a dangerous man," she said. "This is not his first rodeo with harming and hurting people. He needs to be put away." The father is currently being held on a $1 million bond.
Cannabis-smoking man kills his 7-week-old son
MEAWW previously reported that a cannabis-smoking man reportedly murdered his newborn baby boy by shaking him ferociously with force comparable to a car collision or falling from a tall building. Abel-Jax Mailey was just seven weeks old when his father, Oliver, reportedly inflicted fatal injuries on him at their home in Burnley, Lancashire on November 28, 2021. He initially claimed he found the infant limp and lifeless in his cot, before admitting he had shaken the baby and pled guilty to manslaughter. He was arrested in June 2022 and was also accused of intending to cause the baby serious harm, according to Daily Mail.
