Will Melania Trump stay in 'transactional marriage' with POTUS? Former aide claims 'they deserve each other'

'It’s part of the show. She’s always been the quiet. He’s been the loud. She’s been the soft. He’s been hard. They play off one another,' said critic Winston Wolkoff

President Donald Trump's marriage with Melania Trump is the latest talk of the town. While some are claiming it to be a "transactional marriage", others are saying that Trump might "punish" the FLOTUS if she leaves him, and thus, every day there is a new development in the Trumps' divorce story. The latest claim that has come to light shows a completely different angle to all the previous ones. A former aide of the first couple has said that the duo actually "deserve" each other.

Some of Trump's most fervent critics have now told The Washington Post that Melania isn't likely to leave her husband. The critics have claimed that she didn't leave her when Trump had an alleged affair with Stormy Daniels. “I don’t think Melania leaves Donald. She’s very willingly complicit in his schemes and holds his beliefs as her own,” Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, told the Post. “Those two deserve each other,” added Cohen, who is under home detention while finishing out a felony federal order for tax fraud and campaign finance crimes related to the hush-money payment to Daniels before the 2016 election.

The Trumps are “remarkably in sync” despite their supposed personality differences, added Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, the first lady’s former friend and White House aide who wrote a book that was highly critical of Melania. “It’s part of the show,” Winston Wolkoff told the Post. “She’s always been the quiet. He’s been the loud. She’s been the soft. He’s been hard. They play off one another. It’s part of the relationship that makes it work," she added. Omarosa Manigault Newman, an ousted White House aide who appeared on Trump’s reality TV show 'The Apprentice,' claimed that Melania is “counting every minute” and waiting until Biden’s inauguration before making the split formal, The Sun reported.

One of the writers of The Washington Post story, Mary Jordan and her colleague, Jada Yuan, said the divorce talk came mainly from the Trumps critics. “Tired of the president calling others ‘losers,'” anti-Trump wouldn’t mind seeing him humiliated by his beautiful, younger wife leaving him, “especially when he’s already down,” Jordan and Yuan wrote. But they added: “Maybe Melania is similar to America: A big part of her admires Donald Trump, even if another part of her is appalled by him.” In an interview with Town and Country, divorce attorney Jacqueline Newman said Melania could likely get a “fairly generous” $50 million divorce settlement.
