Spoilers ahead for season 2 episode 8 'Kukulkan' of 'Mayans MC'

It was supposed to be an exciting episode for fans of Kurt Sutter's 'Sons of Anarchy' universe featuring guest appearances from some of their favorite characters on the parent show. Yet, what started as a pleasant meeting ended in violence. But it is not what you think.

In 'Kukulkan'. SAMCRO members come together with the Mayans to discuss "a deal on the table for the MC but the price is paid in blood". The Mayans need to take over the gun business now according to SAMCRO even if they won't be fully in charge.

When the meeting begins, Chibs (Tommy Flanagan) admits that they didn't expect to be in the gun business even today, but they're now ready to focus on other things and must drop out of the business. But with old familiar ports closing down, they need to find a new drop-off point. And it is for this new arrangement that the Mayans are present at the table. Chibs expresses that the Tijuana port must be made put to use via the club Vatos Malditos - the same club that the Mayans fought literally the last episode.

Meanwhile, Montez (Jacob Vargas) assures the Mayans that the meeting will go peacefully and Chibs adds that the differences between the clubs can easily be sorted out considering the amount of money that is involved in the deal.  Still unsure of meeting with Vatos Malditos, Bishop (Michael Irby) says, "You bring them to the table. They're willing to talk... we're willing to listen."

After a heated meeting where members of both club members draw out their guns, the deal is cemented - the Mayans up their offer to 5 % for the first two years and they disperse, but tensions between the Mayans and Vatos Malditos remain high.

And the price is indeed paid in blood. The Mayans are later attacked. As EZ is lining up the bikes, a van approaches the lodge. Nothing at first but then a Molotov cocktail is launched towards their bikes. Soon, there is gunfire. In this, Riz (Antonio Jaramillo) is shot twice in his chest. They also throw another Molotov cocktail which lands on Coco, quickly spreading on him. While Riz has no pulse, Coco is alive but in agony - he can't see anything.

'Mayans MC' airs on Tuesdays at 10 pm on FX.
